About Arohanui Hospice

Now in its 11th year, our biennial hearts & homes charitable event helps to contribute towards the $2.5 million funding shortfall needed this year alone. Arohanui Hospice is only partially funded by the government so money raised from this year's hearts & homes will help us care for more than 800 patients and their families.

Established in 1991, Arohanui Hospice in Palmerston North has provided specialist palliative care for people who have a life-limiting illness. Hospice care is holistic, encompassing the physical, psychosocial, spiritual and cultural needs of the patients and their family. Care is free of charge and provided wherever people need it at the hospice inpatient unit, at home or an alternative comfortable environment.
